About CITPA

The Canadian IT Providers Association (CITPA)  is an affiliation of Canadian-owned companies that provide Information Technology (IT) solutions to Canada’s public sector. CITPA identifies and responds to issues affecting its members’ ability to supply high-quality, high-value solutions to their clients in a profitable manner. In addition, CITPA actively engages in activities that market its members’ capabilities and values to the marketplace!!

Furthermore, as Shared Service Canada (SSC) transformation and consolidation puts at risk the continued success of the information and communications technology private business sector, CITPA believes that it must provide its members with insight into SSC transformation objectives, milestone achievements and evolving strategy so that they may remain relevant in the ever-changing federal marketplace.

CITPA has played an instrumental role in several committees, forums and roundtables, along with federal hosted industry engagement events relevant to the SSC technology transformation. These include but are not limited to:

SSC Information Technology Infrastructure Roundtable (ITIR)

  • Architecture Framework Advisory Committee

  • Innovative Canadian Enterprises Advisory Committee

  • Procurement Benchmarks Advisory Committee

  • Smart Sourcing Advisory Committee

Industry Engagement Events

  • Converged Communications Services and Contact Centre Infrastructure Services

  • Data Centre Networks

  • Workplace Communication Services

  • Network Solutions Supply Chain

Since CITPA was founded in 1996, it has shown consistent growth each year. Its members and sponsors represent a broad cross section of the IT supply chain coast to coast, and its gross revenues selling to the federal marketplace is in the hundreds of millions. CITPA represents a critical component of IT consulting, supplying, installing and servicing to the Canadian Government.
